My mom said I looked more tired at the end of the pregnancy than I did after they were born caring for newborn twins. It was such a relief to hit that 37 week mark; and then to have such a great delivery and two healthy babies. I guess it was worth it- but anyone who says a twin pregnancy is two babies for the price of one pregnancy has never carried twins. I'm in the process of a continuing series of posts called 2 for the price of 1 where I will discuss various aspects of having twins that are a "bargain" and which aspects are double (or quadruple) trouble.
Happy birthday to my two sweet babies tomorrow! I'm proud to say I kept us all alive and relatively happy for this chaotic first year. Hopefully I didn't speak too soon- I still have to make it through tomorrow!
If you want to read the birth story here's Matt's reader's digest and mine 99% full-disclosure birth stories
* Check back for the birthday post soon- assuming I can break out my rusty video uploading skills.
Happy birthday to Olly and Abby! Can't wait for the next post!
