Miles' Birth Story in Pictures

August 21st!  Happy due date to Miles and me!

Here is the birth story in pictures- the written story should be done soon.  I told Matt I wanted lots of pictures this time around.  There are some pictures of my naked shoulders (gasp!) but that's the worst of it- I didn't want anything too shocking!  They stole my hospital gown right after he was born and didn't give me a new one for a couple hours!  I will turn some of these black and white (they look less gory in black and white I think) when I get my photo editing software back but here they are straight out of the camera.

Here's your story Miles-

    1. It's hard for me to post such personal pictures and then have no idea who has actually seen them. Blog comments are getting less and less these days. I blame facebook and the "liking" mentality. I can never seem to just do pictures! I tried to keep the captions to a minimum
i just had too many pictures I wanted to share to put them all in one post!

  3. I like that despite taking a swim and birthing a baby, your hair doesn't ever get messed up.

    1. I'll confess to my vanity. I made sure I cut my hair the week before and did my hair before i went in to the hospital! You get so many pictures taken the day you have a baby- at least having your hair presentable is a big self-esteem boost when you look back at them!

  6. I still read your blog, but I had to search for it a little. I had to re-bookmark on my new computer, but for some reason it didn't come up with this most current entry. I like when you just post that you have a new entry with the link on facebook. Sorry I don't usually make comments. Although, most times I really do want to click a "like" button at the end. :) I am also glad that you still blog, my family seems to have stopped and I miss it ... ...

  13. That is beeeaaautiful!! I'm so glad you took these photos; you'll always be so grateful you did! My favorite was of him in the bassinet when you said 'so quiet just him and me' or something like that. It reminded me of those moments in my own birth stories so much, I almost felt like I was back in the hospital again. I looove those moments.

You're a major trooper and you look amazing in these! You have no sweat in your hair and your 'contraction' face looks like you have a mild tummy ache! ha. Nicely done. Thanks for sharing. : )

  16. I'm still around! Though now that I dont have reader (using the Feedly app) I'm much more sporadic. I haven't checked in a long time, and I had to read this one first, so I have tons of questions that might be answered by previous posts. I'll let you know when I finish catching up!

  18. I love all your pretty pictures - the birth ones and the posed ones. You are so lovely Erin. And yes, I am still following your blog. I have to have some way of keeping up on your life now that we aren't in primary and we don't run together.
