I burned myself out on parties last year doing 3 in 3 months in the summer no less when my patience and free time is slim and the weather is miserable. Trying to decide what to do instead was almost as bad as planning a party. Matt was so glad when it was over because I kept asking him questions about what we should do!
Our compromise was to invite one friend each to the trampoline park Krazy Air after we ate some Chic Filet and cupcakes at our house. Minimal decorations, no invite (which is normally my favorite part). One present each was perfect as well!
Olly requested Ninja Turtle cupcakes.
Abby wanted Frozen Fever. These were supposed to look like sunflowers.

We didn't do the party package but it's actually pretty reasonable and includes subs and a coupon to get in again. We might do that next year if we decide to do parties every other year.
We stayed about an hour and had a great time.

Perfect size group and they all fit in our van. It helps that they picked two of the sweetest and easiest kids ever to bring. They did ask after we left what we were doing for their "real" party tomorrow... They didn't quite grasp that it was their real party even if it was the day before!
Despite my lack of enthusiasm for a party this year they seemed to have a good birthday. We sure love these two! They learned so much last year and are getting so independent. I will admit when Charlotte turned 4 she got much easier. The twins seemed to fight much more as 4 year olds along with being more helpful as well. Having them start kindergarten so soon after turning 5 makes them seem much older too! I might post their birthday questionnaire video later.
