Miles' 12th Birthday!

Our sweet youngest Miles boy turned 12 on August 2nd! We just did things together as a family this year!

Since it was a Saturday we let everyone sleep in a bit before he opened presents! He got a new big Nerf gun (he has quite the collections), a ton of nerf bullets, a book, Bionicles, and candy and video game gift card from his siblings!

We love lots of things about Miles! He's grown a lot physically and emotionally this year! He is re-reading the Harry Potter books, he read all the "How to Train Your Dragon" books this summer and he and Olly both loved my scifi book club book "Hail Mary". He has been to a 4 birthday parties for school and church friends just this month- he's a popular kid and gets along with everyone. He's 4'5" tall on his birthday- our shortest so far, but we'll see if he catches up later.

He chose Crackers & Co for breakfast to get the Euro crepes with strawberries, then they gave us the blackberry bread pudding for his birthday dessert! It was so yummy! Matt could even come and eat the heart healthy omlet option.

We went and got his free drink at Swig and Dutch Bros, I did all his regular Saturday chores- pretty laid back but good day! He had steak and mashed potatoes for dinner and invited Marti and Spencer over for this Reese's Peanut Butter cake & ice cream!

5/1/13 Charlotte shoved a bunch of craft sticks in her baby doll's diaper and I asked her why, "She has an eye mafection and a bum mafection so I have to keep the sticks in her bum."
3/25/13 Heard from the bathroom while talking with a sweet elderly lady who visit teaches me, "I have REALLY BAD diarrhea!" Can I pray she couldn't hear her?

9/30/12 While pushing the stroller on a walk with her eyes closed, "I walking asleep." Me, "You're sleep walking?" A while later, "I woke up. I'm so happy now I'm rested!" A valiant attempt to skip nap time.

9/11/12 "I'm a little sick. My throat has a hole in it. I can't swallow the slobber- it just spits out."

8/13/12 Olly is getting a candy for using the potty successfully Charlotte asks for one too and I tell her it's only for Olly to which she replies, "That makes me lonely."(She got 1 skittle for her creativity!)

4/21/2019 On a ward camp out where it was really cold the very first thing in the morning Miles grumbles, "I slept horrible!" Aftter he climbs in the parent's sleeping bag, "It smells like bad breath in here and... butt cracks!" We were dying!
2/27/2017 Not wanting to go to sunbeams, "I not free (three) I a baby!" Not wanting to sit in a car seat, "I not free I five!" Wanting to go to the auntie sleepover with the big kids, "I not free I five or seven." and "I sad at you" with big crocodile tears.
