My Red Neck Husband

Once a year Matt grows a beard. He calls it his Christmas beard because it usually lasts the two weeks he's off work. No work=No shaving. I don't really mind because it is only once a year and I think he looks pretty good with a beard. Everyone gives him such a hard time about it. Before we got married I hated facial hair (I still don't like mustaches or goatees). This year his beard started around Halloween. He did finally shave for his sister's wedding but he had some fun in the process...

And they call me the redneck because I'm from Cornville. Doesn't he look like he came straight out of the Civil War (except the Dole shirt)?

His usual clean-shaven face. I just kept telling him how much I like him clean-shaven after seeing how bad it could be I really appreciate that he shaves!

That is hilarious! I don't think he looks bad, though. I kinda think the mutton chops are fun. Plus, at least he doesn't look greasy or like he wants to skin you. He just looks like a nice guy with some serious facial hair.

When I was a kid one of my uncles did a progressive shave like that - except he did really weird things like shave off the left side of his mustache and right side of his gotee. It was so bizarre. Matt should do that next year. :)

Too funny. What is it about shaving that men think is so horrible? Dennon skips it every chance he gets--and it only takes him a few days to have a real beard.

I also vote for clean shaven. Those were pretty funny pictures though. I do agree with Erin, if he has facial hair the full beard is the best. The other stuff is kind of crazy. Thanks for the fun pictures. Love Mom

What is it with men! I was going through the exact same thing last night. Larry came out of the bathroom about three times with his beard shaved differently. First it was a full goatee, then just the chin, and finally it all went away. Larry's looked just about as good as Matts! Yikes! I prefer the clean shaven look as well. See you manana for some walking. Hopefully the babies won't fuss this time!

Maybe it's a "Matt" thing... my hubby goes on a shaving strike for vacation too!
Clean shaven surely fits him best!

It's nice to see that my husband isn't the only one that shaves his face all crazy after having a beard. I'm just not brave enough to post them on my blog, Stephen's pictures are pretty funky looking! Guy's are so funny how they love to do that, I guess it's cuz they can't do anything creative with the hair on their heads!
