Audrey's Wedding

Matt's sister Audrey got married to Dillon Davis on Friday, January 2nd. It was a great day complete with an awesome choreographed dance (they met in a dance class), great food and decorations, lots of family, and the car stalling twice as they left the parking lot. Poor Dillon had lots of witnesses to one of the first times he's driven Audrey's stick shift car! As my mom says everyone has to have something like that at their wedding. We're never going to live down the sprinklers going off at our reception. (Does anyone else have any wedding mishaps to share?)

The Whole Whitmer Clan- now all the kids are married

I can't believe how short I am compared to everyone else!

Audrey looked beautiful. Charlotte did great for her babysitters (thanks mom, dad, and Marti) unless they lied, and she slept through the luncheon. She had a harder time during the reception. I don't think she liked the dim lighting or being passed from person to person like a hot potato.

Congratulations Audrey and Dillon! We're so happy for you!

  1. This sounds so cliche--but I forgot my recommend when we went to the temple to get married!

And my sister was in a bad mood and looks like a demon child in our pictures. She is seriously scary looking.

  2. I really like the purple she chose for her wedding colors, very pretty.

Nothing went wrong for the wedding or the reception part, but the honeymoon definitely made up for that. Don't drink the water in Mexico! And don't go to 'hurricane alley' during hurricane season :) We both got really sick and we almost got hit by a big tropical storm. Fun stuff!

  3. OH YEAH! Thanks for the reminder. A few days ago as we were driving to church I decided to write a post about my wedding mishaps. I never wrote any of them down in my journal (so many other things to write!) and I really want to record them before I forget. But then I forgot about wanting to do that post. :) Until now. So thanks. And I do have wedding mishaps. I'll share them in a post later this month.

  4. My wedding mishap was the punch bowl breaking right as the reception started with punch everywhere all over the beautifully decorated table. I also forgot my flowers earlier that morning for pictures.

  5. I forgot my flower bouquet at home....four hours away from the Temple. So we had to go to a 24 hour grocery store and buy roses. They were held together by a hair tie!
