The pumpkin patch was a little "citified" compared to the ones I went to as a kid.
"Hayride"=being pulled by a tractor around the patch while looking at the local businesses and eating dust. You didn't even sit on hay! What can you expect when the farm is in the middle of the city.
Things Charlotte Liked:
I let her run around instead of keeping her in a stroller
Being outside for a few hours
The baby chicks, turkeys, and chickens (Of course she liked this since her favorite word is BIRD!)
The hayride
Charlotte and her friend Easton
Check out Easton's face in this one too!
I see you! I tried to get her to crawl through the hay tunnel but no luck!
Things Charlotte didn't like:
The dust on the hayride
Going home
Oh and THE COW! She was absolutely terrified of the cow! Charlotte doesn't get scared of very many things but she was wailing, clinging to me for dear life, and actually shaking with fright at the sight (or sound?) of the cow. She is not a "cow"girl.

Cute photos - so glad you made it to the pumpkin farm. It has become a yearly tradition for us. The girls love it. Not that they actually get to pick the pumpkins out of the field - like the one near us when we were in Tucson.
ReplyDeleteShe is just so cute! I love the last photo the best! The other little boy is a riot! She is growing up so fast!
ReplyDeleteWas it worth the money? Should we take our boys?
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny that she was scared of the cow! I can't figure the logic that kids have in choosing random things to be afraid of. I don't imagine the cow did anything terribly frightening. My Lija is afraid of flies. Weird. And while both my older kids were terrified of the vacuum, it is Enoch's FAVORITE. He tries to climb on top of it while you vacuum. Kids are so funny!
ReplyDeleteCute pictures! Glad you got to go. I agree--the hayride was pretty citified, and that's coming from a city girl. But the kids still thought it was fun. Guess we'll take what we can get!
ReplyDeleteThat last pic doesn't look like a city pumpkin patch. Cool picture. And I like the one of you trying to coerce her through the straw bale maze.
