At last... my hair has come in.

The title should be sung to the tune of "At last my love has come along."

It's finally happened! I managed to get some very sparse ponytails in Charlotte's hair. Her hair isn't quite long enough so they come out really easily but it looks strange with a headband. Charlotte has always had more hair on the back of her head and on the left side. Not exactly ideal for most hairdo's or even clips and it makes her look more bald because, "She's almost completely bald in the front" (name that movie). I call her hair a half-mullet. All business up front and half a party in the back. I should probably trim it to be even but who can blame me after waiting so long to get hair right?

First attempt

Second attempt. There were a lot of tears shed to get them both in- and only one made it through church.

This is her first week of nursery in her new outfit. I felt like a mom sending their kid to kindergarten. I was excited to have my church time without chasing her but I was a little sad she was ready for nursery. She's done great for 3 weeks now... let's hope I didn't jinx it.

Yes I'm one of those dorky mom's who likes to match her kid- I had to be in the shot to get her to hold still. I'll have to take a better belly shot (of me- not her). This dress just doesn't do it justice. Don't you love it when you put a shirt on them you bought last year on sale and realize it's too short? Gotta love the baby belly hangin' out though!

This was just so Charlotte I had to put it in.

Today's ponytail attempt and new yellow dress. Is anyone as in love with yellow as me? It's just so spring! Check out my flowers in the back too! I'm so proud!

We had to post these since daddy didn't get to see the new yellow dress yet.

We missed you today daddy!

  1. I think I've decided that Yellow is my favorite color. (I've lived in yellow bedrooms for about 7 years now- in 2 different houses.)

  2. Cute pictures. Camille lost her hair in front and the back, but had about 4 inches in the middle - the perfect pebbles pony tail!

  3. first of all the movie i believe is Little Women. Second, it isn't dorky to match your kids...because I do! (= Ada has more hair in back too, but she does have some on top. She sadly looks so much like Keith that even in a dress and headband she still looks like a boy sometimes.

  4. Ha ha ha--half a party in the back. :) I did notice yesterday that she looks like she's getting a lot more hair! She's so cute.

  5. Blessed are the bald babies of the world! Although I'm obviously not putting bows in Caleb's hair, I do get excited when he wakes up with some bedhead because it means he's got enough hair to be messed up! I absolutely LOVE that black and white skirt on Charlotte. It makes me want to try to make one in my size. Did you make that?
