Welcome back! It's been way too long. Thanks for the nudge to do a new post Paula! I'm very motivated by blog comments!
I've been having more than my fair share of emotional break-down days and haven't felt like blogging. I feel so redundant talking about my kids in every post. But taking care of them is literally all I do everyday. I try to limit the time I'm on the computer when they're awake- sometimes I don't even turn it on until 10:30 at night which is my pretend bedtime that never actually happens. I finally uploaded my camera pictures so I've got a few more posts I'll have ready soon. Until then, here ya go yet again- more pictures of the kiddos.
I always cringe inside when I take pictures of my kids sleeping. I'm sure they're going to wake up- but sometimes I can't resist. They all seem to be falling asleep in unusual places lately.
Sleepy exhibit #1
| He's such a tummy sleeper he doesn't know what to do when he gets sleepy in the swing. He's crawling everywhere now so I put him in here when I need to do something like cook or sweep! |
Sleepy exhibit #2
Tuckered out from the park. Love how she's holding the handle. I make them miss their nap sometimes so Charlotte and I can go somewhere.
Sleepy exhibit #3
I take turns taking each baby to read stories with Charlotte before bed and nap time. I came back from reading with Charlotte and Abby to find Oliver had crawled over to the tile and cuddled up with the laundry basket for a snooze. Do you think he's dreaming of clean laundry? With his thumb in of course. Poor kid.
Sleepy exhibit #4
Olly's turn to read with mommy. Abby was sitting up when I left her.
Sleepy exhibit #5
Probably my favorite one. This is exactly how I found her- she even tucked herself in!
After bragging about how well she's done in her big girl bed I keep finding her on the floor, or in the chair, or my personal favorite- in front of the door so I can't open it. After almost 2 years she's sadly starting to cut back on her 12 hours of sleep. Instead of sleeping from 8pm-8am she's going from 8:30pm-6:45am but her naps have gone back up to almost 3 hours long.
Don't forget they figured out how to sleep at aunt Kori's house too.
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh! That is so cute that Oliver cuddled up with the laundry basket.
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of your kids napping all over in different positions - especially the one of Olly around the laundry basket. So cute! When I moved Seara to a big bed, she'd fall asleep all over, too. If you look back far enough in my blog, there are sure to be pictures or movies documenting it. Neither of my boys ever did it, though. Must be a personality thing. :)
ReplyDeleteprecious.
ReplyDeleteThose are so cute. I love Oliver snuggled up with the laundry. Nothing sweeter than sleeping babies--especially when they put themselves to sleep!
ReplyDeleteThose are adorable. I always want my kids to crawl up somewhere and fall asleep in funny positions by themselves, purely for the photo ops. But no, they are all strictly bed sleepers, and must be put to bed. Oh well!
ReplyDeleteI love how Oliver still wants to sleep on his tummy, no matter the obstacle!
I've watched my grandchildren sleep in very uncomfortable looking positions too. But it never seems to hurt them. Loved seeing all the photos and look forward to seeing more.
ReplyDeleteI too can't get enough of sleeping babies! Noah is doing the same as Charlotte; however, he'll go to bed later and wake up at the same time. Sometimes he won't fall asleep until midnight, despite being put in bed at 8pm...and he just plays in his bed the whole time. Hopefully she'll start sleeping in a bit more, so you can! If you ever need some company to break up the monotony, we're always up for a play date!
