Crawling Baby Bumper Crop

One of the most therapeutic things as a busy mom is to get together with other busy moms and have a chance to talk- and eat good food for lunch- instead of cold mac and cheese or PB&J again- it's always a nice change.  It makes the day go by much faster and it's so nice to talk to another adult and realize you're not the only one!  I'd like to think of them as my co-workers and friends!

I love that there are so many babies the twins age.  We finally managed to get together another play date.  Here are the ones we were able to snag in a picture in birth order (there are quite a few missing).  They were a lot harder to contain this time around and there was much more toy stealing as well but babies always seem to like other babies.

The weather was perfect and Charlotte had so much fun too!  After complaining about her screaming she has been almost perfect for every outing for the last couple of weeks.  I hate to jinx it but maybe she's finally calming down. "I so good mom! No screaming!"

Here's a picture from the end of September for a comparison- even though it's not all the same babies.

So if you're feeling isolated I suggest finding some mom friends and planning a play date.  I'm a pretty social person so I might need this more than some moms but I'm so much happier the weeks I get some interaction with people who speak in complete sentences!

  1. I feel ya! Weeks like this where we don't get out do to sickness are killers. I often find myself going to the grocery store late at night just to be around adults lol! I can't believe how big the twins are getting-I think Olly is bigger than Keegan at this point! And I swear Noah is in love with Charlotte because if you ever say her name, he won't stop talking about how Charlotte's a "nice girl." :)

  2. Ditto to that feeling--I am always in need of adult conversation! I am glad we came. It was a great time. Thanks for being motivated enough to plan another one! The pictures are pretty cute. They were all so happy. I can't believe 1 is right around the corner.

  4. I can't believe how big all the babies are. I SO miss the mom group down there. You gals have a good thing going on. I am trying me hardest to get a similar thing started here and it is taking awhile but slowly getting there.
