We took a survey (yes we're cool like that) to decide which activities everyone wanted; the most popular one was to go visit the Page Springs Fish Hatchery where we grew up. The largest hatchery in the state of Arizona, I might add.
My kids had never been there so it meant a lot to show them where I spent countless hours as a kid riding bikes, roller blading, picking blackberries, saving my 50 cents to buy a soda and feeding the fish every single time someone new came to our house.
The smaller rainbow trout. And Charlotte.
This is such a dad thing for me- holding a bucket of fish food and telling the group of kids how to throw it in and take turns. Notice the greenery in the background- the part of AZ I grew up in was green.
Lots of dad/kid pictures in this post- apparently the dads were in charge of making sure the kids didn't decide to go swimming with the fish.

I love that my 82 year old grandpa with his walker went on the nature walk with us- he actually spent all day and went to Mexican food, bowling, and stayed for the program and s'mores!
| Olly enjoyed some of the wild blackberries. |
One of the springs of Page Springs Hatchery- it took me a long time to get used to city water after drinking this for 18 years.
| My favorite part of the hatchery up by the spring. Charlotte is off with her cousins- like I said we didn't see much of her! |

I'm googling this right now to see how far a drive it is from Winslow...
