My Best Friend's Wedding

There was quite a bit of rain the day before driving up on Friday after school and work.  I love rain!  Olly was thrilled to go snail hunting!  I think granddad even paid him for doing his favorite thing!  I have lots of memories of stepping on snails on the sidewalk on rainy Cornville days.  The morning was foggy but by 11 it had burned away and it was cloudy some of the time and sunny all morning.  We even got a little pink but mostly a beautiful day for an outdoor wedding.
The kids weren't the best for the wedding, next time we should find a babysitter.  I didn't get any pictures of the ceremony because I was holding fussy Miles but it was great!  I stole these from my friend Risa's FB page.  Plus sometimes I like to just sit back and enjoy something instead of getting in the real photographers way!  Lyndsay came into the song "At last my love has come along..."  It got a good chuckle.  She and Mike were so happy!  I haven't been to a morning wedding before, it went perfect with the delicious waffle bar.  Abby was especially excited to go to a wedding, she brought Lyndsay some flowers she had picked.

Lyndsay's mom Kathy walked down the aisle with her sweet grandson Hyrum.  Kathy always cries when she's happy.  Love her!
The Bride and Groom!

Lyndsay is my oldest friend (since nursery) and we were such good friends through elementary school, girl scouts and especially Junior high and High school.  I have so many sleepover, birthday party, mutual, Sundays and girl's camp memories with her.  She threw me a surprise party when I turned 18.  I am happy she found a great guy!

The happy couple with their hilarious cake topper cheesecake.

My girls wished they could take the Westover's doll table home with us ;-)

Cutie boy Miles, as he refers to himself!
Cornville Ward girls- Megan, Dawn, Lyndsay, Andi , Erin , Carly , Risa, and in the back Corina  and Nikki

Some of the highlights of the wedding for me was seeing so many people I knew from childhood and being at the Westover's house brought back lots of memories of playtime and other wedding receptions.

Finally got a decent family picture, since I didn't get one for Easter!

After Olly and Miles got to go fishing with granddad.

Miles loved it!  He kept talking about the "wobber, or robber"  meaning bobber.  Granddad seemed to get a kick out of that.  Miles first fish.  He got out our fishing game and played catching the "wobber" and kissing the fish the next couple of days.

When we asked him if he wanted to kiss it he said "eww" so Olly kissed it and released it for him.

After 3 trips to Cornville in a month we probably won't be back again until summertime!

    1. They are kissing the fish goodbye before they throw it back in. Madi was the first one he had do it, if you recall that cute photo!
