April and Easter at Home

Some April tid bits-
Hot enough we did swim suits and sprinklers on the trampoline a few times.  We have to try out the new swim suits before swim lesson/team starts.  This is our friend Julia.  Her family has kids all of our kids' ages and they are all white blonde hair as well.  Our kids say we are practically cousins because Matt's uncle is married to their mom's aunt.  And Matt's cousin is married to his dad's cousin (I think I got all that right!)

Since last year, Olly especially was hoping for an Easter egg hunt at our house.  We've always just done the big cousin one in Cornville.  Matt missed the first one this year and it was a few weeks before Easter so I said we could do it this one time the day before Easter.  Hopefully we didn't just start another tradition.  The Easter bunny hid the eggs the night before and I was going running first thing in the morning.  I was worried they would notice and start the hunt without me but I had to bring it up quite a while after my run and breakfast!

Easter Sunday!  The boys where their outfits every week (usually without vest and tie) but the past few years I can't seem to get the girls to wear the outfits I pick as much.  I was hoping a skirt/shirt would work better.

Easter best! Birth order R to L

8.5 Charlotte

6.5 Abigail

Oliver 6.5- never likes to dress up or tuck in his shirt.

3.5 Miles dirty face.  He will still usually let me dress him up.  He calls bow ties "baptize"

Found Olly taking a nap on my bed.  He said our bed is the most "comfty" then Charlotte's then his and Abby's then Miles.

On special days we use grandma Diehl's China from grandpa in Germany.  I love that we have the chair and tables from her as well. Sometimes when I'm washing them I think of how similar my hands look to hers.  I miss her, it's fun to have some nice things we use that remind us of her.
