Diehl Family Campout

Just like the good ol' days the whole Diehl Family went camping June 26-28 up near Flagstaff by Munds Park. This is the first time that everyone was able to be there since Alyn got off her mission. For those of you who don't know our family, we would go camping for vacation practically every summer. There used to be 8 of us, this time there were 19 total including all the kids.

Marti and Maya- I LOVE this picture

Some of the hikers

Spencer says, "I like to eat dirt!"

All six grand kids together for the first time.

Camping is interesting with 3 babies, it made Matt and I scared to go camping with a baby. My siblings are brave parents. We rode the quad, went on a hike, and played a ton of cards. It was a lot of fun with just a few downsides- the chiggers and gnats and using the facilities (a bush) every 15 minutes. We'll have to do it again- when our baby can walk and sleeps good. :-)

  1. "Spencer says, 'I like to eat dirt!'" Hilarious! I think I ate a fair bit of dirt myself... in addition to having it up my nose and in my ears and hair. Yummy.

I like that picture of Maya too. So smiley!

  3. This looks like fun....kind of. Having the family together looks fun....the camping part? Not so much. I'm really more of a "rent a beach house" kind of girl. It looks like everyone had a good time and was happy...you guys are great.

  4. I think we win the award for the worst kid, since he was up screaming both nights. Erin, you must insert "crazy" for "brave". I'd probably never go anywhere with him if I wasn't so desperate to get out of the house and do something fun.

  5. Poor Kori. Mom says I was just like him camping so I can't complain- I probably deserve a kid just like me. It was definitly the worst for you and John and probably Spencer. Hopefully he'll grow out of it like I did. Just hope you can survive until then.
