We've reached 30 weeks and the third trimester! Baby is about 3/4 cooked! I've gained a total of 15 pounds so far. I've been more consistent in my weight gain. My doctor sent me for another ultra sound on Tuesday to check my fluid level (13 cm between 8-18 is good) and the baby's size (2lbs 11oz). I love ultrasounds! Matt has been able to go to all of them with me. We were able to get a much better picture of her face and gender. We were glad to be able to see she was a girl again after the umbilical cord was between her legs last time. Her room and clothes are way too girly for her to be a boy at this point! My doctor is estimating we'll have a 6 pound baby based on how small I am. One of the books I've read says she should be at 3lbs by now but that's estimating a 7.5 lbs baby at the end. My official due date is still Sept. 22 but based on the each ultrasound measurement it keeps getting pushed back. Oct. 5th was the estimate this time! October is a bad word at our house right now. So don't start asking if the baby has come until Oct. but I'll keep hoping for Sept. I guess I should mentally tell myself October so I won't get overly anxious.
I tested negative for gestational diabetes. I am slightly anemic however, which means I have an iron deficiency. This is very normal by this stage in pregnancy. I just have to take an additional iron supplement everyday. Not too bad. My blood pressure is good and my cervix is still "up by my tonsils" according to my doctor.
I can tell she is running out of room in there and she still has more growing to do. My stomach feels so tight and she tends to stay in the same general area more now. She was head down the day of the ultrasound. Let's hope she's that way when D-day comes. She can really pack a punch. I'm still feeling really good. I do like to take a nap most days but I also stay up late and she wakes me up early. Preparation for what is to come.
Great job, Erin! At 2 lbs 11 oz she's bigger than both my kids when they were born! LOL You look awesome!
ReplyDelete15# doesn't sound like much, but I checked my graphs, and by 30 weeks I had gained: 20, 14, & 16.
ReplyDeleteOf course by 40 weeks, the gain was 30#, 30#, and 24#. And the resulting babies were 7.13, 8.15, and 9.1.
Weight is a sore subject for me at the moment. As I keep fighting off the same 5 or 10 pounds. I'd much rather be fighting this battle at a place where my clothes fit.
yea! You look so cute in your swim suit! I am so excited because October 5th is my due date! I am sure we will have them really close together! I am glad you passed the gestational diabetes test! that would have made life difficult!
ReplyDeleteHey! So glad she is growing well! Keep her cooking!
