And the winner is...

Thanks to all 34 of you who made guesses on our online baby pool. Here are the results. The lower the points the better the score. Here's how the scores were tabulated: 5 points /hour, 5 points/ounce, 10 points per inch that you're off. 400 for the wrong gender but everyone guessed that correctly. If you can't remember what you guessed go back to http://www.expectnet.com/ and type Whitmer for the game name and you can see all the results.
Charlotte Whitmer
September 11, 2008 9:35 PM
5lbs 5 oz
19.5 inches
( I put in 19 inches since you had to choose whole numbers)
With 297 points....
Emilee Diehl is the winner by a landslide!
My sister-in-law (married to my brother Cody in San Diego) is the winner. She guessed the exact weight, 1 inch too short, and 3 days too late. We can't wait for you to meet her!

The Runners-Up (600's)
652 My niece Lia (only 4 days off, I thought she had guessed way too early but every other person guessed late)
662 - My brother Jesse (only 1 ounce and 6 days off, exact length)

Close (700's-800's)
737 Ruth Whitmer Charlotte's Grandma
764 David Horan Matt's cousin
765 Katherine Lee- Matt's older sister
767 My optimistic guess (not too bad)
854 Mindy Diehl- my sister-in-law
887 Evan Whitmer Charlotte's Grandpa

The Pack- 1000's
1004 Melissa Diehl- my cousin's wife
1088 Audrey Whitmer- Matt's younger sister
1121 Alex and Brittany Nelson- my old roommate that set Matt and I up and her husband
1212 Janae - my wonderful blogging friend
1388 Matthew Lawrence- cousin's husband
1541 Brittany Hamman- cousin
1543 Brooke- cousin
1592 Macey- friend from college
1668 Jere Diehl Charlotte's Grandma- only 8 oz off
1707 Kori my sister- only 2 oz off
1734 Matt
1787 Mollie- my cousin
1797 Nathan- brother-in-law
1838 Dillon- engaged to Audrey
1867 Marjorie- Matt's aunt

Way off (2000's)
2011 John Gammon- brother-in-law
2149 Cortney- work friend
2183 my pessimistic guess
2312 Madi- niece that Charlotte shares a birthday with ( you should have guessed your birthday Madi)
2347- Marti- my sister
2482 John Diehl Charlotte's Grandpa
2522 Alyn- my sister
2655 Elysia Echols- friend

So far off I don't think they were trying to win (3000's-4000's)
3642 Charlie- Charlotte's 10 month old cousin (8lbs 15oz, 23 inches, Oct 9th I'm glad Charlie was wrong!)
4038 Cody- my brother (he guessed his own birthday Oct. 14th- so mean. Pretty funny that he's dead last and his wife won.)

So basically people who guessed before my due date and a small size won. That's the way it should be I think...all you people trying to give me huge, late babies shame, shame. No one guessed the exact date.

What's the prize...

The satisfaction of winning...and since Emilee is expecting a girl (we think) in February lots of very cute girl hand-me-downs for life if you want them!

  1. Hey, I did much better than I expected! :) My guess was what my first baby was - three days early, same weight, same height. But when Charlotte was born so early, I figured I wasn't even in the ball park. This was really fun, thanks for letting me play!

  2. Well, I'm a big looser! Congrats to Auntie Em! Oh well, you didn't have a 9# baby, you lucky dog.

Guess what Lia said today: "We need to skinny you up, Mama." Then she made this gesture involving both arms. Lovely.

  3. It was fun to guess. The most important thing is that Charlotte is here, and so cute. Congratulations to Mom and Dad, Erin and Matt. As my Dad always said "You should have a dozen" Boy, that's easy for others to say. I'm anxious to see all of you again. Take care, love Mom

  4. I must admit to Emilee that I think I stole her prize :-o

I was the first person (besides Erin, Matt, and various hospital workers) to hold Charlotte. I out-speed-walked my mom to the room and dropped my stuff real fast when I got there.

But you still win the glory Em! Huzzah!
