You'd better not pout...

Santa Claus is coming to town... Christmas preparations are in full swing around here.

I bought LED Christmas lights and Matt faithfully put them all up. Last year we waited until after Christmas to try to get them on sale but they were all sold out. So I splurged and bought them before Christmas. We got the white ones but they don't look like the traditional yellowish-white of most Christmas lights. They are more like a bluish-white making our house look slightly like the mother ship. We've had quite a few neighbors ask us what kind of lights they are, without a follow-up comment about how nice they look. Oh well... we like them.

(This one was taken with a special setting on the camera making it look even more like an alien ship)

Charlotte met Santa Claus at the Primary Activity Day. I was glad I didn't have to take her to the mall because it wouldn't have happened. She didn't smile but she also didn't scream.

Thank you for all your present ideas. You are very creative. I think I have enough ideas. Now if only I could get through a shopping trip without someone having a meltdown...

  2. Why don't you park in the garage? I happen to know your garage has plenty of room for parking.

    Nice Mothership! Wow!

  3. I love the picture of Charlotte with Santa.. And the one of the two of you! Matthew hasn't met Santa yet. We need to fix that this year! And I love your lights! I don't think I've ever seen that kind of person!

  4. I think the lights look awesome - especially in your spaceship picture! That is hilarious!

ps. I got 95% of my presents off Amazon.com. You couldn't pay me to shop - even with just one kid!

  5. I just thought your lights WERE blue! They look good--a nice change from the white icicles on every other house.

  6. Little Miss Claus looks so cute. I just love that sweetie. Too bad she wouldn't smile for Santa though.

  7. I'm glad you came to the Primary Activity Day. The little kids really could care less but the parents need their pictures of kids with Santa.

  8. Oh, bring Charlotte over when you want to go shopping. Spencer needs to have a baby around anyway.

  9. Alyn- Matt never parks in the garage. We only have 1 garage door opener and he isn't motivated to get a new one. I almost always park in the garage except when we need to get stuff out of the cabinets and then I decided I would sweep it out the next day. Thanks for the offer Kori... I might take you up on that.
