"Second Star to the right and straight on 'til Halloween"

Carving the pumpkin with daddy tradition.  Charlotte loved the guts- the twins not so much.  We forgot to bring it to the trunk or treat for the pumpkin contest and then it was rotten by Halloween despite my pinterest tricks.

Cast of characters this year:
Abby as Tinkerbell (she wouldn't wear the tutu under the skirt).
Matt as Hook- he's usually willing to dress up if I keep it minimal- he wouldn't wear the red cape but the beard adds a lot!
Olly as the crocodile- it was a little small on him but he loved it- until the night we was actually supposed to wear it and he had a fit.
Erin as Tiger Lily I was going to make braids but I ran out of time.  I got the skirt from the thrift store for $4.
Miles as Peter Pan- I loved making such an itty bitty costume!
Charlotte as a mermaid- there are mermaids in Peter Pan I promise!

Borrowed this crocodile from my sister

I was finishing up Tinkerbell the day of because I had my heart set on a different fabric- I went to 4 different stores with no luck.  I finally found this sparkly knit. Used this tutorial.

I had so much fun making this costume.  I loved working with the flashy fabric!  The shiny sequin fabric kept gumming up my needle though. Used this tutorial.

Hook and Pan- borrowed the Hook stuff from a friend.

Miles was a good boy and slept through the whole trunk-or-treat.  I made the costume using this tutorial.  I would have made the shirt bigger- he grew so fast it was more snug than I planned on- making it out of fleece made it super fast because I didn't have to worry about the edges fraying.

The kids loved the carnival games- Abby was a pretty good shot.

Cake walk was still confusing for Abby this year.

Charlotte's preschool parade.

The little sword was my favorite!
Happy Halloween!

  3. The costumes all turned out so cute! Miles's hat looks just like the one I made for Carter except for the color. And it's so tiny!
