Miles of Milestones- 7 months

Our baby just turned 8 months and he seems to be determined to do everything faster than his siblings. 7 months was a big one for him.

Sitting up alone. He did take a little longer to get sturdy.

Getting into crawling position. He's been slowly army crawling for awhile but he finally got up on all fours and started to take off quickly over spring break on March 18th. Now he goes from room to room.

He would cry when it got too hard!

Chillin' with grandad. His eczema is still pretty bad unless I use the prescription cream all the time.

We had to move the poor turtles because he wouldn't leave them alone!

Eating lots of solids! He's still not a huge eater but he seems to like everything he's tried so far. He loves to use his pincher skills to eat cheerios and baby puffs.

I love this sweet moment I caught of him and Auntie Marti looking at each other. He really does recognize and love her. She has been such a blessing to us!

Pulling up to standing. "MUST get turtles!" It seems like as soon as he could pull up to his knees he could also pull up to his feet. It's been MUCH harder to baby proof with 3 older kids leaving things on the floor all day. But they are also good police, "Miles is getting into (fill in the blank)"

Also during his 7th month:

Charlotte taught him to clap! Super cute!

He is SO close to saying "hi". When you say hi to him he is definitely trying to say it back. He also makes the "Ahh" noise and "dadadada" he's gotten very vocal babbling away all day

He is happier now that he's mobile.

We started cloth diapers some of the time (I usually wait until 6 months because I only have the larger size that will expand until he potty trains... forever from now!)

He's also a big fan of the jumper- he's almost past the stage of the swing and bouncer.

He sleeps like a champ usually 9 or 10pm - 6:30 or a little earlier. He takes consistent naps 9:30-11am and 2:30-4.

Having a baby is the BEST! I wish it would go more slowly!

I love Miles! That picture of him burying his head in the ground and crying breaks my heart! He's such a cute boy.

None of our kids had eczema quit that bad, but all of them had it, and getting a water softener worked wonders. Don't know if it'd work for you (or if you have one) but food for thought...

5/1/13 Charlotte shoved a bunch of craft sticks in her baby doll's diaper and I asked her why, "She has an eye mafection and a bum mafection so I have to keep the sticks in her bum."
3/25/13 Heard from the bathroom while talking with a sweet elderly lady who visit teaches me, "I have REALLY BAD diarrhea!" Can I pray she couldn't hear her?
11/2012 While praying, "Please bless grandmas and grandpas that don't hear so well. Bless people who eat too much."
9/30/12 While pushing the stroller on a walk with her eyes closed, "I walking asleep." Me, "You're sleep walking?" A while later, "I woke up. I'm so happy now I'm rested!" A valiant attempt to skip nap time.

4/21/2019 On a ward camp out where it was really cold the very first thing in the morning Miles grumbles, "I slept horrible!" Aftter he climbs in the parent's sleeping bag, "It smells like bad breath in here and... butt cracks!" We were dying!
2/27/2017 Not wanting to go to sunbeams, "I not free (three) I a baby!" Not wanting to sit in a car seat, "I not free I five!" Wanting to go to the auntie sleepover with the big kids, "I not free I five or seven." and "I sad at you" with big crocodile tears.
8/2016 Covered in mud he proudly declares, "Look how dirty I are!"
5/2016 During Gabe's very quiet high school graduation he yelled, "I need a bandaid on my eye ball." He bumped his eye on the edge of a paper I believe poor kid. Darrell and Rachel were cracking up.
