A few pictures from the beginning of the school year.
Shark day/blue week. Man I love their preschool teacher Mrs. McClure. I am impressed every single day with the things they do. It makes it hard to move up to kindergarten where they don't have time to do as many awesome projects. I'm so excited to see how much the twins are learning.
My first attempt at Star hair for patriotic week. Not hard but it take a little longer than a ponytail. It was a big hit.
Oliver loves to lick the bowl. I call him Olly 95% of the time. I think they call him Oliver at school because he told me he wants me to call him Oliver more.
Statue of liberty with his cupcake/cone torch!
Yellow week cuties. They get a sticker when they have a classroom job.

Serious face waiting for the school bus. She's been a little anxious about the transition but overall has handled it well. Only 2 meltdowns at school about not knowing what to do.
A few minutes after I put her on the bus one of the first weeks of school the doorbell rang frantically and she was back sobbing that she forgot to put on her tennis shoes for PE day, so she told the bus driver to turn around. I can't believe he did it! So we quickly got her shoes on her and she got on the bus. We wrote him a thank you note. Poor guy, he's so nice, and it takes years of training to withstand Charlotte in panic mode. Only 3 kindergartners ride her morning bus. Only Charlotte could get a bus driver to turn around and wait for her to change her shoes.
Working on their "fun pages" Abby usually does hers the second she gets home, Olly usually waits until the morning before preschool, but they both get them done.
Patriotic week.
Little Red Hen day, they learn about being helpers, make their own book they can "read", and bring home their own loaf of homemade bread. Seriously impressive. Preschool is where it's at!
My babies are all grown up! But still so cute!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos! I might just have to buy that portrait lens I've been dreaming of! What darling children you have, Erin. Love the Charlotte getting the bus driver to turn around story! That's a classic.
