Miles 13-14 months

He officially gave up crawling in September when he was 13 months.  He's very into climbing right now.
Can I have one of those rolls?

Playing in the front flower bed, espcially when it's wet.  We go through more outfits than a newborn right now.

Climbing back in his swing.  I finally put it away.

Long hair!

I would be thrilled if he were a girl and I could get this much hair in a ponytail

After!  Much less scraggly but he looks much older too!  Matt was sad.

This boy LOVES dirt and sand.  I wash him off in the sink or tub all the time and I still find sand in his crib.

Someone left the bread down too low.

He loves to climb on the table.  Here he's sticking things in his sister's water cup.
He loves to climb up and rock on the rocking chair.

He seems to be into more things than my other kids.  Partly because my other kids are constantly leaving things out that he shouldn't have! He's 50% for height but below the chart for weight (19lbs 11oz).  He hasn't been interested in switching to cows milk and he's super active and won't let me spoon feed him.  The doctor doesn't seem too worried about his size, all my kids were pretty small at this age then they average out later.

Words he says right now 15 months- in (rough) frequency order
Mommy (mama)
Daddy (he used dada to me "what's that?" and anything else for awhile!  Matt loved it!)
boo (learned Halloween week)
ball
bee (for banana- his favorite breakfast food)
Abby
nummy nummy (yummy)
dog
susses (kisses)  He is my kissiest baby by far!  He also gets lots of kisses from everyone- he's doing better not using his teeth as much!
turtle (it's more like da-da)
he also signs "all done" with cute arm waving

He seems to go in word phases more than my other kids.  He really likes one or two words for awhile then he learns new ones and stops using the old ones hardly at all.  He's a ham and loves when people laugh at him.  He's my friendliest baby and my most independent.  He went from 6 to 12 teeth in the last month.  I feel like I'm constantly cleaning up after him or saving him from getting hurt but he is at an adorable age right now where he is figuring things out.

  1. He is a sweet boy. I like his haircut. The ponytail is really not fair, Abby had to wait soooo long. Love Grandma
