Miles 1st birthday Caterpillar Party

I decided to throw Miles 1st birthday party at the Diehl reunion.  It was a little crazy but it was so fun to have so many cousins there.  The Whitmer grandparents even made the trip up to Cornville.    I had way too much fun planning it.  Here's the link to my pinterest board where I got most of the ideas.  I probably should have divided this post.  Sorry, feel free to skim.

Invitations.

All the caterpillar food.

These lollipops were the party favors but every kid wanted them as soon as the party started.  It caused some grief.

cucumber/tomato caterpillar

The cake and cupcakes caused me a lot of grief that morning.  Thankfully they mostly turned out.

I loved the first year picture progression.

Marti had my camera so you got an individual shot of everyone at the party almost!  Sorry for the picture overload, but it is a birthday/reunion post so there were a lot of people there.

Madi

Lia- these 2 oldest nieces of mine are getting so grown up and beautiful. They were such a big help getting ready for the party and helping with the younger kids.  It made me very jealous of Alyn and question my sanity in not spacing my kids out so I could have awesome helpers!  They also talked everyone into wearing the party crowns!

Nathan and the youngest baby (at the time) Joseph!

Grandad

Abby

Eliza

Tanner

Our friend Hyrum!

Lily on her mom's leg I think.

Lia and Charlotte signing the guest book

Savannah sneaking oranges

Cody's serious cutting carne asada face.

The womenfolk.

These blonde boys (Coulson, Olly, Charlie) found a real caterpillar "Fuzzy" theat Olly squished, I think, so he wouldn't have to share him.

This boy loves watermelon, especially when he's teething.  It hasn't turned him into a "big fat caterpillar" yet.  He's still pretty skinny.

Most chill baby ever.
Pin the tail on the elephant ( I got this and the crowns, stickers etc all in an Eric Party kit at Marshalls for $3)  I've already used them for the twins Noah's ark party too.

Throw the Ikea soft food in the caterpillar's mouth game.
My kids helped me paint the caterpillar

 Maya always looks so beautiful!

Cute Trac with his prize.  So happy!

Our friends Hyrum and Corina.  This was his first taste of sugar! I think he might have liked it a little.  Maybe.
Grandma Whitmer and the birthday boy.  He did this during the games.
