Finally the first party we did on the twins' actual birthday when Matt was out of town. You get good mash-up themes when you have boy/girl twins. Olly wanted a bug party and Abby wanted a Frozen theme (like every other girl in America). I had plans to freeze bugs inside rectangle baby food containers and have the kids try to stack them like an igloo for a game but I ran out of time.
First big boy bike with training wheels. We opened it early so daddy could see.
Elsa doll and a Little people princess castle were her big gifts.
Bug cupcakes (a whole bag of bugs from the $ store!)
Fancy Frozen cupcakes.
I meant to get a better pictures but we did half the table white paper like ice and half brown like dirt. Two bunches of frozen and bug balloons, Frozen cups for the girls, bug cups for the boys. I also had bug jars the kids could decorate to take home and each family got an actual bug to keep. We had mill worms and crickets from the pet store, a snail we stole from Cornville, a lizard (I know not a bug), and maybe one or two more... I thought I was going crazy when I saw a huge cockroach in my garage and I went running to get a jar to try to catch it. That's true love. Luckily (sadly?) I didn't catch it!
Since every little girl had this party this year I borrowed almost all the decorations from nice friends. Thank you!
We did it at the Jaycee park splash pad again. It was still very hot but at least I wasn't 8 months pregnant this year!
Birthday twins!
Finger lickin' good.
Face of pure little boy happiness. I think it was mini monster trucks!
Mom and dad drove our cousins down for the party and went to lunch with us at Paradise Bakery afterwards. I love dad's "water" outfit.
Olly declared it the "Best day of ever!" So I think it was a success. Remind me not to do 3 parties in 3 months next year during our family "birthday season". It takes me 6 months to blog about it I was so swamped!
It was a fun party. Great food, good company, cute kids. What more could you ask for. Thanks for inviting us. Love Grandma
ReplyDeleteHoly cow, that picture of Levi is hilarious. So classic! That was a fun party. Glad I'm not the only one blogging about things months after the fact. . .
