Maya's baptism, ponds, and Hot dogs!

It wouldn't be fall break unless we went to Cornville and celebrated Maya's birthday!  This year was a special one because she turned 8 and was baptized a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.  We were so glad to be there!
The kids from both sides of the family.
She changed back into her dry clothes even faster than her dad.  It was seriously impressive!  Even the bishop remarked on it the next day in Sacrament meeting.  Both grandma's gave a talk.  It was great!

Afterwards we went to grandma and grandads for pizza, presents, and cake!

I'm so glad Maya is Charlotte's best friend, because she is wonderful, and a cousin is a friend for life!

Cai has a magic touch with babies.  All my kids love him.  He's a great big cousin to play with Miles most of the 4 days we were there.

Aww!  This picture is too much!

Olly is such a happy, photogenic kid.  Trac and Oliver have started to play well together the last few visits.

I think I was remembering Utah fall break from last year and packed their jackets and long sleeves.  Instead they wanted to swim in the pond every day so we had to improvise/borrow swim suits.

These kid-sized kayaks are so fun!

On Monday night Grandad and Grandma planned a family home evening at the creek with a camp fire.  The kids said "the hot dog party" was their favorite part of this visit.

My brother Jesse and his son Cai in their element

Mindy doing homework at the creek.  Mindy is super woman going to nursing school, holding down big callings, and still managing to look cute and keep everything together with the kids.  She and Jesse are a great team.

My mom and dad, planned the food and lesson.  Thanks for another great visit, I feel like it's a real vacation because my mom does so much of the cooking.  You guys are the best, we're so lucky to have such a wonderful place to visit and wonderful grandparents there too!

I was taking pictures of Miles right before these, that's why he's dressed so nice for a campfire!  He wanted to know where his friend Emma was because the last time we had a campfire it was on the ward camp out.  Funny how they connect things.

It's not a good day at grandma and grandad's unless you got to play with cousins and get extra dirty.  They earn their baths every night!

We helped dad start to fill in a hole and collect moss from the pond.  The kids loved earning money.  They wanted to know how much I earned as a kid and couldn't believe I hardly ever got paid for chores like that!  Grandad pays more than dad did!

  1. Can't you make me look a little thinner? Oh well I like all of the other pictures. I guess it's good to document that I was there. Thanks again. Love Mom
