Witches, and Faires and Ninja Turtles!

Charlotte decided that morning she wanted to be Hermoine, not just a witch.  It was too late the have wavy hair so we did a braid, threw on a Giffindor scarf from my sister Alyn's creations, and added a stick wand.  Right after this picture was taken her wand snapped.

If you look carefully you can see the wand piece falling.  Her face makes me laugh and laugh!

Abby is a fairy princess.

I love how in character they are!

For the trunk or treat she went more traditional witch.  I need to find the picture of me as a witch in the same costume.  It was over 30 years old and it held up way better than all the costco and fairy costumes.  Mom's sewing held up.

Notice the green hair and black moles.  The green Halloween paint did not stay on very well.

Their school has a book character pumpkin decorating contest.  My kids agreed on Mrs. Green from "The Teacher from the Black Lagoon

Here's our painted version!  I was happy with how it turned out.  The kids did all the painting, I just outlined for them and assembled it.  We were one of the finalists!

Halloween is so fun with little kids!  They talk about what they want to be for next year all the time!
