Summer Summary 2016

The summer Olly embraced the 'boys don't have to wear shirts rule', especially for pjs, although he still preferred rash guards for swimming to avoid sunscreen.
The summer both twins could swim across a pool, so much easier to go swimming with just mom!
The summer Miles could jump in , swim to the side and hold on!
The summer the fighting DID.NOT.STOP., first thing in the morning, over what show to watch, seats in the car, toys, books, bedtime, you name it, they fought about it.  Lots of time-outs, mom yelling, puff-ball positive reinforcement, mandated quiet and outside time.
The summer I left them with their Diehl grandparetns in Cornville for 4 days by themselves while Matt worked and I went to girls camp.
The summer Miles did a tiny pee in 5 pairs of undies every.single.day.
The summer Charlotte kept her class fish alive with NO help or reminding from mom!
The summer Charlotte dominated the library summer reading, lots of Magic Treehouse books!
The summer of magical Rhold Dahl stories, Matilda- chocolate cake movie night, James and the Giant Peach (a boy one!), and Marie Callendars peach pie, the BFG at the movie theaters (first time with just mom) took two tries to see it.
The summer of journal promps- "Would you rather be a bee or an ant?"
The summer mom ran all summer to keep her sanity and mileage up, hard to break the 4 mile barrier in the 6am still 90 degree muggy monsoon weather.
The summer Matt's work fired a whole team and put him in charge of their failing project.  Lots of stress.
The summer of two trips to Cornville in July to visit grandparents, Jesse, Kori, and Alyn's family.
The summer we finally sold our Grand Marquis that had been a street ornament since Jan 2013
The summer our hot water pipe broke and we spent thousands fixing it and a few thousand more getting a fancy water heater at the same time.
