2nd Trimester Rocks

25 weeks along with the twins- Easter Sunday

24 weeks with Charlotte- so small

29 weeks with Charlotte- I think I'm bigger than this shot too!

I've had some complaints logged (Rachel) on my lack of pregnancy updates/pictures so here's the latest for those who are interested.

Pregnancy Progress Report
Weeks: 27
Trimester: Just finished 2nd, starting on the 3rd and final stretch
Weight Gain: Much better 2nd trimester
Measuring: 28 weeks- at week 26
Blood pressure: Good
More Braxton Hicks and Pelvic Pressure

Lots of baby movement- still lots more from the boy but the girl is easier to feel now that's she's getting bigger. Can see body parts move across my stomach- it's like a dance party or wrestling match in my stomach since they still have some room to move but they're getting bigger!

Baby A- Boy
Position: Head down, presenting twin, my right side, more to the front, and lower
Estimated Weight: 1lb 15 oz
Estimated Gestational Age: 26 weeks 4 days (34%) Really good so far!
Fluid/Blood flow: Good

Baby B- Girl
Position: Head up, left side, higher, more to the back, feet up by head- very funny!
Estimated Weight: 1 lb 11 oz
Estimated Gestational Age: 25 weeks 2 days (28%?) A little small
Fluid/Blood flow: Good

2nd Trimester is the best- less tired but still more tired than my last pregnancy, no more throwing up, but I'm not too big and uncomfortable yet. I feel about as big as I did at 8 months with Charlotte- but I haven't gained that much weight yet. I can tell I'm going to be pretty uncomfortable by the end. Still no names for sure yet. Matt has his heart set on 2 names, and he's starting to wear me down, but I can't quite commit. We're debating if we should just tell once we make up our minds or wait until they are born like we did with Charlotte. What do you usually do?

Appointments will be every other week starting now until June- then they go to every week. Ultrasounds still every month at this point. Next appointment- gestational diabetes check, anemia check, and cervix checks start. This pregnancy is going by much faster than last time!

  1. You are SO cute! As for names, you can do whatever you want. I understand why people are secretive. I, only the other hand, announce my name once I've picked it and I call the baby by the name. We called Seara and Elijah their names as soon as we found out the gender. Enoch, on the other hand, was a surprise-gender baby, so we called him 'the baby' until he was born. :)

  2. Glad to hear things are going well! It is going by fast :). You look fabulous, and so tiny (even though you are bigger compared to the previous prego pictures). I'm glad you are feeling well, who knows how long that will last! I am sad I don't get to talk twins anymore, but happy that our baby boy is doing great. Last week he was weighing in at 2 lb 7 oz - on our way to another big one. I just have to hold out til July instead of June, bummer.

  3. Time is just wizzing by. I can't believe you are already in your third trimester. Of course, I was shocked when Seth informed me the other day that Bradford is 3 months old, so I guess I am jsut not keeping good track of time...

  4. I already have names picked so I can hardly wait for the gender to tell people. I can't wait till the end. I don't think I can keep secrets very long. Wow! You are moving along quite fast! You are almost there!

  5. Looking great, Erin! I'm a keep the names to yourself kind of person, but when it comes to other people I want to know! I'm sure Herman and Oscar will be happy with their names eventually. Which one is the girl?

  7. Ha ha, Kori. We knew we'd have an Emma way before we were even married so when we found out our first baby was a girl- she was Emma. Andrew we named at about 29 weeks after a list of boys names- but we don't have a problem telling. Mike gets his heart set on a name and then there's no going back.....:) Good thing I like his taste!
You look ADORABLE. Can't wait to see you!

  8. Once you are busy watching one kid, the next pregnancies see to go a lot faster. Glad you are doing well.

  10. We don't keep names a secret- Ethan and Hannah already had scrapbook pages with their names before they were born! Aidan was my pick and Nate wanted to name him Lucas. Guess you can tell what happened, haha!
I am excited for you, although cervix checks doesnt' sound like fun. I only had those with the twins a couple times, and no checks with Aidan or Lucas.

  11. I was 7 months when I completely changed Gwen's from Willow to Gwendalyn. I was very indecisive. Even when she was born I thought I wouldn't like it.....heard she had red hair when I woke up and thought for sure that I'd want to change it to penny. Nope, I finally got to see her and she looked just like a gwen! Moral, you can have options and favorites, but can't decide tillyou see them:)

  13. You look amazing! I still don't think you look very big (at least not when you stand next to me!) :) I'm glad things are going well. I was in nursery yesterday and Charlotte was so cute and sweet with Marian's baby.

Your "babymoon" sounds fun! Glad you got to get away for a while!
