Mommy's Little Helper and Grill Honeymoon Continues

Her first (of many I'm sure) coloring misdemeanor. Look at that guilty face.

My mom and dad came for spring break and we worked on baby quilts for the twins. It was so fun! They are going to be adorable- I'll post a picture when they're done!! Anyway I gave Charlotte some crayons to color with while we worked (nice idea anyway right?) and my mom soon discovered her coloring on my white cabinets. So I gave her a stern talking to and made her help wipe it off- then took a picture of course! Sometimes I think I'm sending mixed messages...

Later that same day "helping" me make pizza dough. "Mmmm, I like flour." Pizza on the grill is FANTASTIC by the way (thanks Kelli and Stephanie for the tip! Recipe here). The honeymoon with our grill continues.
Swim Suit Edition 2010! I Love, Love, Love little girl swimsuits!! Check out our little bathing beauty-

I wanted to finish washing my outside windows and screens so I waited for a warm day and brought out the new swimsuit hoping Charlotte would last for a window or 2 if I let her hold the hose. I did all the windows in one afternoon she was so entertained! And I actually got her to hold still for pictures- as long as she had the hose. We will definitely be doing hose time again... how many chores can I think up that involve the hose? So far weeding flower beds and washing cars comes to mind.

Back to the grill obsession-

Man oh man are these kabobs good. I keep putting them on the menu as often as possible. I am in love with grilled mushrooms with this marinade. Recipe here. Can you tell I'm missing Matt's grilling skills? He's still out of town so he needs Charlotte pictures and I miss my meat (and Matt too, of course)! He asked me if I was going to starve while he was gone. I told him I would just have to remember how to cook again!

  1. I love this post! I so wish we had a grill! I hate the smell of cooking meat so Daniel has done a lot of the cooking for me lately! She is so cute cleaning up her first crayon mess!

  2. Spencer hasn't really colored on anything yet. Now that I say that he will. I wonder if I can talk my husband into grilled mushrooms.

  6. The food looks yummy. It's nice to see you can enjoy the outdoors. We've just got back from Colorado, Idaho, and Utah where we experienced snow - not swim suit weather. We still have some grandchildren who are learning that you don't color on things other than paper.

  7. hi! I love your cooking skills! :-) Isn't grilling fun? I bought an indoor grill. Though it cooks slower, it's still great! I love Charlotte's guilty face.
