Little Guy Ties

Since I've had a few comments about the ties, here is a post for those of you that are interested in making your own little guy ties.

I bought the pattern off of Etsy at this site "make it and love it" for $6.50. She sends it to you in a pdf file so you can get it very quickly without paying shipping. It's sized from newborn ties to 3T so you can make matching ones for all your little boys. I liked this idea so I could make Oliver ties to coordinate with some of Abigail's dresses.

It was pretty easy. There is one step where you attach the neck strap to the knot that took me 2 tries. After I made Oliver's blessing tie I went a little nuts and made 4 ties for the baby boys born at church plus 2 more for Oliver. I did them assembly line fashion so I would get them all done and not stop after each one. Maybe I should have been napping but I need some creative outlet to keep me from going crazy at home all day.

Matt swears Oliver has more ties than him now, and I'm just getting started! I'm sure they'll look even cuter on the little owners! The only problem is that every time I make one to give away I think Oliver needs that color too so I make another one for him! Everyone says girl clothes are more fun but I think I'm having more fun with Oliver's clothes this time around because it's a novelty. If you're having a little boy soon or a toddler with a birthday coming up I can take requests...

Even though Abby is not wearing a tie I had to throw this picture in just because it makes me happy!

Those are so cute! I totally understand about having a creative outlet. I love the last photo of the twins! They are growing up so fast!

Love the ties, love the pic of Charlotte in the purple chair, love how sweet she is to the babies (she needs to give Brielle some pointers), and love all the twin pics! I can't believe Abby is only about the size Levi was when he was born. Crazy. But they are growing so well!

4/21/2019 On a ward camp out where it was really cold the very first thing in the morning Miles grumbles, "I slept horrible!" Aftter he climbs in the parent's sleeping bag, "It smells like bad breath in here and... butt cracks!" We were dying!
2/27/2017 Not wanting to go to sunbeams, "I not free (three) I a baby!" Not wanting to sit in a car seat, "I not free I five!" Wanting to go to the auntie sleepover with the big kids, "I not free I five or seven." and "I sad at you" with big crocodile tears.
