When you're a twin you learn to share early. Like in utero. And it never stops.  You never get to be the "the baby" all by yourself that your older siblings have to cater to because you're littler.  Mom never gives you the same one-on-one attention.

The flip side of that is you're never alone.  There's always someone your same age and size who likes to do the same things you're into.  Someone to giggle with during nap time, share food with during meals, hold hands while you nurse.  It's by far the best part of having twins in my opinion.  The bad stuff is twice as hard- like two crying kiddos, but the good stuff is twice as good.

I'm already getting grey hairs thinking of two 16 year-olds learning to drive at the same time.  "No I get the car this time!"

Going in for the kiss- love their faces!

They both say, "Row row!" for row row row your boat.

Talented papa

There's always room for one more.

14 months.  First trip EVER to the grocery store- I wish I was kidding.
Bless the stores that put two seats in the front of carts.

Children's museum pencil car.  I liked the No. 2

We get lots of comments when we do this- otherwise my brood of three swing enthusiasts monopolizes the whole playground supply of swings.

"You'll look sweet upon the seat of a bicycle (not) built for two..."

They really have a special bond.  When one of them gets in trouble or hurt the other one is almost as upset as if it were them.  Olly always kisses Abby when they get up from naps.  They tell each other night night and pass toys, books, and blankets back and forth in their cribs.  Quite often when they wake up they just play and jabber together instead of crying for me.  Love them!

  2. The thought of twins has always scared me--but yours are so cute! You have lots of fun pictures.

I laughed when I saw the picture of Matt reading to the kids sitting in front of the computer. So like my husband. . .

  7. Alyn- no picts from the new camera on the blog yet. I've taken a ton but I need to bug Matt to put them on the network so I can use them on my computer too. I think you'll be able to tell the difference- it's about a million times better than our old camera!
