Pre-Christmas

We attempted to act out the Nativity story with our kids.
Angel Abigail (I mean Gabriel) obligingly proclaimed "Good tiding of great joy!"

Mary Charlotte.  Baby Jesus is under the blanket in a basket- "Nice and cozy and warm."  Of course.
Shepherd/Joseph Olly wouldn't keep his costume on or hold still for the picture- or his part.  Oh well.
We saw the beautiful Mesa Temple Lights.  We even let the kids out of the car this year.  Charlotte always loves going to the temple where we got married.

Don't they look thrilled- they didn't like my camera phone flash.  Last camera phone picture so you can appreciate the rest of the shots.

Trying out the close-ups of the new camera on the ornaments. Matt still indulges me and gets a real tree.

Hansel and Gretel paid our gingerbread house a visit.

My mantel is my favorite Christmas "decoration"  We get a new piece of the nativity set each year from my mom. (Sorry again Alyn for ruining the surprise!)  We're about out of room.  I did get another stocking holder after Christmas.  All of Matt's presents fit in his stocking!  He doesn't complain anymore about having a small stocking.

"Helping" to wrap presents.  Standing on chairs and holding scissors- good job mom.

It helps if you stick your tongue out.  I do this sometimes and so does my dad!

Mmm Christmas cookies- I'm so glad my friends and neighbors bake because it never seems to make it on my to-do list!

  3. Looks like a fun Christmas and props to blogging about it before January is over! Way ahead of lazy people like me. I love the picture of Abby holding the two dolls over her shoulder, just like she sees her Mommy do. We love the Temple lights too, glad the kids got to get out of the car!
