She got a BIG bike for Christmas. Her feet could barely touch so I was tricky for a week or so until she learned the trick of pushing off.
Kindergarten science project. She came up with the idea all on her own.
She wrote all the words herself too. I think I did good not taking this one over.
Another tooth gone! They've taken a long time to grow in, she pulls them out early. Love her freckles too!
Year 2 Let's play music. She really "got it" this year, I can't believe how much she's learning at such a young age. I totally forgot my "real" camera so these are terrible phone pictures.
Getting her medal. I can't say enough about how much we love these music classes.
Grandma and Grandpa Whitmer were able to come to her music recital again. Auntie Marti also came this year.
Every day the last week of school was a different theme party. This one was a drive-in movie they had to make a car out of a box. She especially liked the cup holder.
She has a good kindergarten year doing half-day mornings. The bus was just kindergartners and it would pick her up right at our door. She would often ride home with other kids on the bus for play dates. There were only 13 kids in her class and an aide. I was able to volunteer almost every month thanks to swapping Miles with friends. I liked having her home half the day still. They cover a lot more curriculum in Kindergarten these days. Her reading is really fluent, she learned a ton of math (she would pray every night to know the answers to the math;-), and some cool science (she uses words like suspension bridge!). She made some good friends. Next year she will be at our local school and so will the twins since they moved the half-day program to our school. She seems a little nervous to switch schools but I'm happy they will all ride the bus together.
Looking so big!
Same shoes, still likes to wear skirts/dresses most days.
Definitely a different smile!
She has been a wonderful, conscientious, social, punctual kindergartner! She is such a determined kid, I am excited to see what she's like as she grows up!

Of course she's super, in so many ways!!! Love Grandma
