Count Your Many Blessings

When I first found out we were having twins I'll admit I thought, "Who's idea was this?" It was pretty scary and intimidating. While the thought of having 2 newborns and a toddler is still scary and intimidating I'm beginning to see that Heavenly Father knew what he was doing. Here are a few of the blessings I've already noticed through this pregnancy.

1. Even though having 3 kids so close in age is going to be crazy- Charlotte still took 2 naps a day until she was 19 months old and I think she'll continue to take naps for quite a while after the twins come. This has helped SOO much to have 1 or 2 breaks everyday where I can take a nap. An older kid wouldn't do that and if I was still working as a teacher I would have a much harder time going to all the appointments- not to mention partial bed rest and naps would be out of the question.
2. My partial bed rest started 3 days before my school teacher mom finished up the school year. It was the perfect timing if I had to be on bed rest since my mom has been here most of the time since then.
3. I can't tell you how many people have told me they are praying for me everyday. I've never had that before in my life. My sweet parents are even fasting (where you pray for a specific purpose and also don't eat during that time period) for me and the twins every Sunday. I really can feel all of these prayers helping these twins grow as long as they have.
4. I've had very few bad symptoms. Hardly any back pain unless I'm on my feet a lot, less trips to the bathroom than with Charlotte even (I think the twins are sucking me dry despite the 100oz I try to drink every day), no swelling... I was more nauseous and I have been more tired but I feel so blessed that it hasn't been worst than that.

  1. Sounds like all those prayers worked. That's so nice that Mom and Dad fasted and prayed for you.
