Charlotte's 4th BirthDAY

Four is going to be great- I can already tell.

She was so excited for her birthday.  I told her we would probably just keep it small this year.  I love to throw parties, but I felt like with the twins' big party just 2 months earlier, and all the house stuff it was a little much.

I decorated the house a little while she was asleep and it made her so happy- a few streamers, 1 helium balloon, and a happy birthday sign go a long way when you're 4.
Presents from mom and dad.

Waiting for her big present- she kept changing her mind what she wanted but I knew she would be happy with the princess bike and she was!

I don't know why this is the only picture of the bike assembled I got.  She likes to change clothes a lot and we're still working on the modesty thing between wardrobe changes.

How many presents can I wear at once?

She asked for crepes for breakfast with cream cheese and strawberries.  Talk about refined taste.  The chap sticks were from Olly and Abby.

The rest of the day she went to preschool and got to wear a crown, bring treats (wafers- the pink, chocolate and vanilla ones) it was rectangle day and the teacher recommends bringing something other than cupcakes.  She brought her birth announcement for show and tell.

After a dinner of Panda Express we had a couple of cousins and aunties over for some cake, brownies, and ice cream.  I was so proud of myself I made the brownies during nap- stuck them in the fridge and set the timer so I would put them in with enough time to still be hot when everyone came.  Well it was a great plan except I forgot to get the brownies out of the fridge.  I was trying to do too much at once and this stuff always happens.  I was so surprised to open the oven when the timer went off and find no brownies.  Oh well, it worked out.

  1. Love the two birthday posts. Sounds like lots of fun. Hey, maybe Abby was using her tongue to catch flies since that's what frogs do. I think she's a smart girl. Love Grandma
