We went to Utah the entire fall break so with Italy coming up we and with the most beautiful weather in Mesa in March we stayed around town this year. We did try to go to Cornville to say goodbye to Grandma and Grandad before they head to Utah to start their mission at Heber Valley Girls camp but Trac got COVID so we didn't go up there. Here are the fun things we did that week!
| Matt's been wanting to take us to the Renassaince Festival for years. The kids weren't all thrilled but we still had fun. We went to a comedy show, saw a Jousting tournament, ate turkey legs, bread bowls, steak on a stick and brownie Sundaes. |
| We gave the boys room a major clean out. Here's the before. Yikes! |
| This is after we took everything out before we put things back. We ran out of steam and didn't totally finish. |
| We had a homemade pizza lunch on Sunday with the Grovers and Papas in the Grover's garage. We love them! |
| Charlotte, Abby and I went to Feed My Starving Children to get Service hours. |
| I got to go with the youth to do baptisms. We had a fun crew in our car. |
| R to L Oliver, Jen Clancy, Harry Clancy, Weston Hogue, Kendra Engler, Will Hogue (back), Adria Lawlor, Julia Engler, Abby, Harper McRae, Melody Ryan, Charlotte, Erin, Emmy Gibbons, Jeremy Engler |
| They talked me into Swig and a Chinese fire drill on the way home. |
We went to Arizona Mills one morning to buy a few things. These kids are growing so fast. All the kids got new shoes too.
The kids did another lemonade stand the day before I left. They made about $60 this time, not as much business on spring break on a weekday.
We also went to Organ Stop pizza with Stefani and Megan's family, the Organ was amazing but the pizza was not. The girls went to Stefani's house for a sleepover for the first time not at our house and played fugitives. |
I left in the middle of the night for Italy before St Patrick's day on Friday. SO I left the kids a rainbow fruit platter and some "gold" rolos and lucky charms! They finished the last couple days of Spring break with Matt.
