They have the nicest grass. Having a golf course manager in the family might have something to do with it.
Oh the memories planting these fruit trees
Doesn't their yard seem to go on forever?
A couple of weeks ago Charlotte and I made our first solo trip (without Matt) to my parents' house in Cornville to help watch my nephew Cai and my niece Maya. It was a little crazy but fun. Charlotte did amazingly well in the car. I'm pretty sure Cai is Charlotte's favorite person. She laughs so hard for him.
My friend Annie and her 3 cute kids stopped by to see us one of the days.
My super mom was irrigating the orchard when one of the pipes got majorly stuck. She pulled on it. I pulled on it. We pulled on it together. Then Maya (Grandma's little shadow) gave it a try.
Grandma, with the help of a well placed hammer, was finally victorious. We all clapped.
The weather was so nice. Everything is so green. Makes me want to move in. How about it mom and dad? Just kidding, but it is beautiful. Who would have guessed their little desert piece of property could turn into this... you know after thousands of hours of manual labor and a ton of irrigating.
After Charlotte and I came home Cai and Maya came to visit the next day so their parents could go to the temple. We walked to our new awesome neighborhood playground. Cai and Maya are fearless. Maya tried to step off the top of the jungle gym a few times. Spencer and Tanner (and their parents of course) came along too. It was quite the cousin get together.
Charlotte loved all the cousin time!
These videos are from April and May but it shows just how much Charlotte loves Cai... 50 sec.

Awww,I love cousins! So fun. It looks so great on their property!
ReplyDeleteHow great that Charlotte has so many cousins. Hopefully Caleb will too one day soon.
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful place!
ReplyDeleteCousin seem to be enjoying themselves. I know when I leave Colorado I will miss all this green. Glad you and Charlotte could go visit your Mom.
ReplyDeleteWhat!! The video was unavailable, I'll check back another time. I LOVE going to mom and Dad's too. I think our kids will really appreciate it as they get older.
ReplyDeleteWait. Sam told me that you COULDN'T grow grass like that in northern Arizona. I always thought it was impossible. Our Utah grass in the middle of winter is the same color as Winslow in its prime. I just figured it was the desert thing. But apparently, we were wrong. That grass is gorgeous!!
ReplyDeleteGosh! I didn't know we were going to be a blog post. Thanks for all of the kind words. We LOVE having fun visitors. Jesse must get credit for the grass. He always checks up on it to see if we're giving it enough TLC. Even Marti is an expert "mower and waterer" and since she's gone we've got to keep it alive or she will be very disappointed. Thanks again. Love Mom
ReplyDeleteLove the fruit trees! It truly is like paradise! Cousins are fun! We have blast when we get together:)
