Charlotte 3.5

Since Charlotte is officially 3.5 I thought I'd do a little update on all the things she's into right now so I can remember when she's all grown up.

She insists on writing her own name on everything.  She gets most of the letters just not in the right order.  With 9 letters it's a little tricky.  It's more like a word scramble.

Perfected the playdough worm- I think she must have learned this at play school

Still loves to play dress-up throughout the day.  This outfit she borrowed from our neighbors.  Ever since Christmas break we have been playing with the neighbors almost every afternoon.  Charlotte loves having older girls to play with.  It's really expanded her imaginative play and they are so good with my kids.  They have saved my sanity while I made dinner quite a few times.

Helping to cook- macaroni and cheese is still one of her favorites.

Stacking taller all the time.

Fancy dresses and boots- what could be better?

She loves being a sunbeam.
Suddenly decided to color in the lines and put more details into her drawings.  It was seriously like a flipped switched from scribbles one day to real drawing the next day.  I don't know if playschool or her church class helped with it but I don't think I did anything differently!

She told me this was daddy with the chicken pox.

Loves to play princess memory.  She wins often!
Loves playing with friends.  Notice Abby trying to get in on the fun- she really loves to do what Charlotte's doing.

Matching sisters.  I bought these for my nieces when we went to Hawaii after college graduation and now my 2 girls get to wear them.

She loves to get dressed-up for church and get her picture taken.  Everyone who comes to our house gets a flower.  She had a total meltdown one day when Matt drove away before she could give him his flower.

She called this her Rapunzel dress and always wants her hair braided when she wears it.

She was really into poses- she did them on her own- I've never made her stand like this.  It was super cute watching Abby try to do it too!

We tried sponge curlers- they all fell out before morning.  I don't know if I'm out of practice (I did do them to myself all the time in 3rd grade) of if she just needs more hair...

Pure joy- curlers (it took me so long to understand that word when she said it) and painted nails.  We read Fancy Nancy for bed too.
I tried a crown braid- again I need more practice it fell out before we ever made it out of the house.

She gives me lots of kisses lately and says "I love you so much mommy!" At least a few times a day.  I also love that she calls me Miss Mommy.  Apparently she gets her messy hair from me.
