I'm getting better at doing the doctor appointments by myself- but I still don't recommend it. They both had to sit on my lap for the entire exam. Abby got her shot first. It was so sad to set her down, where she promptly burst into tears and flopped on the floor face down (on the impeccably clean floor I'm sure) while I held her brother for his shot. Here's the stats and some pictures-
***Scroll down below this post for 2 more posts with individual shots- I didn't want to put too many in this post!
Oliver
Height 33.5" (75%)
Weight 22lbs 10oz (10%)
Head 18.75" (50%)
Words: I've lost count- here are some of my favorites: no, a-sert (dessert), truck, ka-chow (from Cars movie), 'relly (Cinderelly), poop, teef (teeth), neked (naked), pease (please), bobby (strawberry) he's also starting to put more words together- "here-a-go", "cookie gone" "mom's gone" etc
Favorite Toys: Cars, cars and trucks he pushes them around all day lately. He's also really into stacking things and he will often hang out in the sand box for a good chunk of time all my himself
Favorite Books: Mr. Brown Can Moo
Favorite Foods: he's getting pickier- still likes fruit- peaches and strawberries are his favorite, pancakes- he used to eat spaghetti well but a few nights ago he just kept saying "ucky, ucky." over and over.
Favorite Songs: He loves to dance but lately when I sing to him he tells me "No!" ouch! He will sing Sunbeams, Popcorn popping, twinkle twinkle and a couple of others
Sleeping: 7:30-7:30, he still wants 2 naps (2-3 hours long each) but he can do 1 if you put him to bed early and put up with lots of cranky- he loves his naps- we've since moved to just one nap and he is crankier but I'm determined to keep them on the same schedule
Tantrum of Choice: Yelling, stomping feet, tensing up, and running off- usually when you take something away or won't give him what he asks for
Teeth: 12 for quite awhile (he's almost got 14 with the canines coming in)
He scampered up on Charlotte's chair and polished off her egg nog greedily.
Abigail
Height 32.75 (75%)
Weight 21 lbs (6%)
Head 18.5" (50%)
Words: She's really catching up to Olly just in the last month. Some of my favorites- Charlotte (all the time), no no no no (with finger shake), susses (princesses), dance, bless you, trick-or-treat, ready-set-go!, doodle doo, also starting to put more words together "here ya go" "mom baby poop" "my turn"
Favorite Toys: Baby dolls
Favorite Books: Mr. Brown Can Moo, Colors book with sliding doors, Where's Maisy?
Favorite Foods: Cheerios, Yogurt, beans, cheese, meat
Favorite songs: She loves to sing! Quite often in the car Olly and Charlotte will fall asleep and Abby will sing and jabber loudly to herself the whole way home. Favorite songs- Going to the zoo zoo zoo (I heard her saying azoo azoo on the way home from the zoo and I finally figured out she was singing this song), Popcorn popping, Itsy Bitsy Spider, Head Shoulders Knees and Toes, Happy Birthday, Row your boat (at my parents we were sleeping in the same room and it was totally quiet and she bursts out with row row row do doot), Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. Abby has perfect pitch- she would sing along during primary and even though she wasn't singing the words she would sing the tune perfectly.
Sleeping: Sleeping 8 pm-8 am (she's more likely to sleep in), naps only once most days usually 2-3 hours, she's happier with less sleep than her brother- Matt says she takes after me ;-)
Tantrum of Choice: broken-hearted crying of screaming, and a floor flop- luckily they are fairly rare usually at home
Teeth: 12 holding steady for a few months now (finally got 13 and working on 14)
Abby is also turning into a climber- I found her on top of the kitchen table last month. She doesn't have the balance her brother does so she falls a lot- but she's also less adventurous.
Twin wrestle time. Olly is always on top giggling and Abby's usually on the bottom screaming.
I can't believe how big they are! I still remember when you were expecting Charlotte (and I, Enoch). How much has changed for the two of us since then!
