Oliver Loves and Oliver Loathes

Oliver really LOVES certain things.  Much more so than either of my girls so I thought I'd highlight some of Oliver's attachment objects.  Of all my kids he is the one most content to entertain himself for a good amount of the time.  But if someone takes his "blank" or something else he wants he lets me know about it quite loudly.
Oliver LOVES to help daddy.  "Hammer!"  Putting together our toy cubbies.
(Ignore laundry mountain in the back- my laundry hamper was still full of clean laundry!  This is real life around here.)

Oliver loathes waiting for his food.

Pure torture waiting for a brownie to cool after family home evening.

Every time the refrigerator was opened he would snatch out this mustard bottle and carry it around and kiss it and snuggle it.  It was weird.  He doesn't even like the taste of mustard.  When the mustard was all gone I washed it in the dishwasher and let him keep it in the play kitchen.  Typically he's not that into it anymore.

He LOVES milkshakes.  He screams whenever it's not his turn to get a sip.

One of the best parts of being a parent is seeing your kids care for each other.

He hates holding still for haircuts.  The second one was more traumatizing than the first.  Luckily Auntie Katherine is a pro and so patient with him.  It would have been impossible to do this by myself.

He loves sneaking food from the pantry.  Mr. Picky Pants can be found up to his armpits in a cereal box quite often.  I have too much food to not put something on the bottom shelf.  At least he shares with his sister.  He's  my best scavenger- he ate stale popcorn out of the trash one day before I caught him- it was still in the bag at least.

He is so focused playing with his cars for long periods each day.  It amazing me!
I've found his entire collection of cars lined up like this before.  He sometimes will line them up and then make loud noises and fling them all over- like a crash maybe?  He LOVES the Pixar Cars movie and would watch it everyday if I let him.  He stands right in front of the TV totally engrossed the whole time.  Like I said majorly focused.

Balls!  I love that he looks like an old fashioned football player here!

Sneaking in the sand box anyway he can.  The amount of sand in his shoes, pockets, and diaper is impressive.

His "blank"  He has this one pink and one green swaddle blanket the same type.  He loves them both which is a big help when one is lost or dirty.  If anything his love for this thing just grows.  He won't leave it in his crib and I have a hard time convincing him not to eat with it or take it places.  He only sucks his thumb when he has his blanket.

He's getting pretty good at stacking blocks.

He loves to put food in his hair and-
We love this boy!
