Abigail really is an angel child. I honestly don't pick favorite children, but Abby is almost always the easiest and I appreciate her for being so low maintenance- pretty much since birth. Three kids this small would be much harder if they were all high-maintenance. Her hair, personality, and opinions have really come out more recently. She doesn't let Olly and Charlotte steal her toys without putting up a fight anymore- I was surprised she put up with it as long as she did. Here are some pictures of our sweet Abigail.
My least picky child- she's the first one to like re-fried beans.
Imitating Charlotte's pose- she loves to copy her sister and the two of them have been playing together a ton. It really is the pay off for mediating the fights. Charlotte will hold Abby's hand and walk her back to their room and play babysitter or dress-ups for a good stretch. I think Charlotte knows Olly wouldn't put up with it!
First black toe nail. She dropped the play metal cookie sheet just wrong on her tiny toe. She hardly ever cries very much when she gets hurt so I knew it must really hurt. It took a few months to fall off and grow back.
Dressing up like sister. It's WAY too long on her but she doesn't care.
She takes super good care of her baby. Here she is on the changing pad changing the doll's diaper. "My baby" Don't take her baby away or you won't hear the end of it. She brings her doll to me for kisses quite often.
What kid this age likes to clean-up? Wiping up the cracker mess on the floor with a wipie- without me telling her to. One day we had friends over to play and we were painting with water outside. We all came inside except Abby. A few minutes later she toddles in with the cup and all the paintbrushes and neatly sets them on the counter. She often sings the clean-up song and picks up the toys. If I can't find her milk sippy it's in the refrigerator in the play kitchen. If I can't find her doll diaper it's in with the real diapers in the cupboard. Her favorite toys are puzzles and nesting toys because she loves to put things back together. She still makes some messes but not on the same scale as her siblings. Man I love this about her!
She loves to put things on her head. Whenever I check on her asleep she always has the blanket over her face silly kid.
Happy girl in the bubble bath.
Thank heaven for our happy little Abby!
