Look Alikes

When Charlotte was born everyone said they could see more of Matt in her. I even had a stranger at church ask me if Matt (who was teaching) was her dad because they looked so much alike. Then Oliver was born and it was like looking at Matt's clone. Matthew is a good middle name for him. Just check out these two pictures- we weren't even trying to get Olly to make this face and the red shirt just happened too!

I get a comment like this sometimes, "So, their dad has blonde hair, huh?" I want to say something like, "No, he's got black hair." But I don't. People rarely say any of my kids look like me, sometimes Abby. Most people don't realize I had blond hair as a kid. I also looked a lot different with chubbier cheeks. I think it's easier to see the similarity in baby pictures. I was always told I was the baldest baby in the family. I'd like to blame Matt and his blond hair for making our girls even more bald, but it seems the boys get more hair! Charlotte was more bald than I was, and Abby is the baldest and blondest! People expect Abby and Olly to look more alike- even though they're fraternal twins- but someone told me recently they're starting to look alike. I think Abby and Charlotte look more alike.

What do you think? Do we look alike?

Holy cow, Matt and Oly look identical! You and Abby have the same eyes, and Olly and Charlotte's are shaped like Matt's.

I think Abby looks more like you....Charlotte looks like a you/Matt combo for sure! And WOW Olly looks like his Dad! I need to do this with our baby pictures!

By the way- about the floor....I've had them all. I actually love wood laminate. Of course it isn't as fancy as REAL wood and if I had loads of money I would have real wood floors (except in bedrooms). BUT laminate is easy to clean, looks nice and is pretty durable. I HATE tile....truly. I don't mind nice linoleum for kitchens and bathrooms but I do know I absolutely hate tile. Our steam mop was awful on our tile too. Swiffer is much better but I still don't ever feel like it's really clean because of the grout. ew!

WOA. I always thought Charlotte and Olly looked like Matt, and wondered where Abby's looks came from (as I type that I'm starting to see how stupid it was not to figure it out, but I'm pregnant and reserve the right to be utterly and completely brain dead) ... it's you. She's a mini you. So cute!!

Oh it's fun to see the baby picture comparisons. Yes, two out of three do look like their dad. But, that Abby is more like Mama and she like to clean too! Hmmmm, isn't that interesting. Love, Mom
