Easter 2012

The 4th annual Diehl cousin  Easter egg hunt in Cornville was lovely.  The weather was perfect for playing outside all day.  The neighbors even had some newborn lambs to watch.

Follow the red brick path- my dad made this path around the house with bricks salvaged from the house where my mom grew up . They also used these bricks on their fireplace.  Pretty cool, huh?

Abby was a pro at this- we let the little ones out first but I don't think Abby needed the help much.
Can you see the butterfly on the tree blossoms?
I love this shot of Great-Grandpa Diehl with surly Olly.

The traditional shot after the hunt with Grandad.  The only shot I got with all 9 of the kids in it.  We always miss the other 3 siblings and 6 grand kids.

The rest of the afternoon we ate good food and the kids played.  I even got a nap.  Then mom and dad watched our over-tired kids so we could go on a date to see Hunger Games.  It was such a nice treat!

We stayed at my parents Fri night until Sun morning so we got a few pictures with their nice grass before we drove back to Phoenix to go to church and dinner with the Whitmer side.

I bought their Easter dresses from last year so big they still fit this year, so I used them again!

I tried to get a group hug but Olly wouldn't go for it.

Abby insisted though.

We were pretty tired by the time we got home Sunday night.  We don't get out much so our kids were missing their regular naps and bedtimes. It was so fun to get to see so much family.  I love this time and year and the focus it brings to the Savior's life.  I hope your Easter was as wonderful as ours!

  2. Where did you get the dresses? Makes me want to go to the mall and see if there's any Easter clearance dresses left. So beautiful. Love the picture of Dad with all the grandkids. And the salvaged red bricks are pretty cool, even if we did have to move them and stack them more than once!

P.S. Noah loves to tell me how cute Abby is. And how Charlotte is no longer screaming lol ;)
